Lessons of Saturn and Sadhesati

Saturn covers the entire zodiac in almost 30 years... 

Saddhesati = 7.5 years = 25% . So every 30 year, our 25 % of the time is spent in Sadhesati. 

Similarly, corresponding to any sign in which Saturn is transiting, people with Moon in three signs experience Sadhesati.. e.g right now Saturn is in Capricorn, so people with Moon in Sagittarius or Capricorn or Aquarius are experiencing Sadhesati = 25% of the world population... 

Apart from that, if Saturn is transiting in the 4th or 8th sign from the natal Moon, that 2.5 yr is also consider little stressful emotionally... right now for people with Moon in Libra, Saturn is in 4th sign, and for people with Moon in Gemini, Saturn is in 8th sign... 

So total 5 signs are affected by difficult Saturn transit = 41.67%   of world population.. 

This proves life on earth is not meant to be bed of roses... you will experience stress 41.67% of your life... unless you learn the art of being unaffected by challenges of the material life which is possible only if you evolve spiritually or do meditation etc

And Sadhesati or 4th and 8 th house transit of Saturn may not always give you stress for negative reasons, you may get stressed for positive reasons also e.g. suppose you suddenly become CEO of a big company, then your life will be stressful but in the eyes of the world you gained power.

Mars and Moon in Aries, in the 1st H

Rahu in Taurus, in the 2nd H.

Ketu in Scorpio, in the 8th H.

Venus in Sagittarius, in the 9th H.

Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury are in Capricorn in the 10th H.

Day is Wednesday– ruled by Mercury. Mercury rules 3rd H (allies) and 6th H (dispute and quarrels). Mercury is well placed in the 10th H. Biden has strong support of his allies and he may have to handle “quarrels and dispute” too.

Lunar day (Tithi) prevailing at the time of oath – 8th lunar day of waxing Moon. 8th Tithi can generate conflict and problems. The energy of this tithi is good for the destruction of any obstacle or enemy. Some feminine guidance proves very auspicious for anything that is born on the 8th lunar day.

The combination of Wednesday + 8th Tithi forms an in-auspicious combination in Election Astrology that can have the energy of destructive fire.

Aries rising, with Mars and Moon in Aries in the 1st H.

1st L Mars in the 1st H is giving strength to the 1st H. He will exercise his power and authority with independence. He may display good amount of initiative and aggression in his way of functioning.

Mars is also the ruler of the 8th H, and Mars is himself an impulsive and aggressive planet. So this Mars as 1st L in the 1st H is providing strength to his presidency BUT this same Mars as 8th L in the 1st H can cause some un-expected (potentially catastrophic) events during the tenure of his presidency.

Ketu in the 8thH may actually bring his presidency face-to-face with few sudden dangerous catastrophes too. But this same Ketu in the 8th H may let him tap-into some secret (even occult) or mysterious energy/power, and through that he may actually bring lots of wealth to the USA Government Exchequer (Rahu in the 2nd H).

Since he has sworn in when Moon is in Ashwini nakshatra. So for the next one-month-and-twenty-four-days his presidency will be running the KETU main period. He needs to be very careful in this period because KETU is placed in the 8th H and I have explained the likely effects of the “Ketu in the 8th H” in the oath-time-horoscope.

Normally it is advisable to have a fixed sign in ascendant and/or Moon in the oath-Time-horoscope for inviting stability for the person in his post during his tenure.

Aries is movable sign. Both ascendant rising sign and Moon sign being a movable sign (Aries) is not a very good factor for the stability of Joe Biden’s presidency.

Biden is Scorpio rising in his birth horoscope. And he has taken oath in Aries rising. Aries is 6th from Scorpio, so that can be little challenging.

Sun, Saturn, Jupiter, Mercury are in Capricorn in the 10 thH. The 10th H of power and authority is strongly activated in this horoscope. He may come out as a president who wants full control on everything. He may insist on everybody following a strict protocol.

These 4 planets in the 10th H are also activating the opposite 4th H of internal security and peace. Moon the 4th H ruler is in the 1st H with Mars. Internal security is his top priority. Mars in the 1st H is also seeing the 4th H and 8th H. All the security (and intelligence) agencies must be on full alert for atleast the next two months.

His first task will be consolidating power in his hand.

The Moon’s nakshatra in the oath-taking horoscope is Ashwini. Generally Ashwini is considered to be a good nakshatra for Oath-Ceremony. But in Joe Biden’s birth horoscope (as well as Kamla Harris’ birth horoscope) the nakshatra of natal-Moon is Ashwini. This is not very auspicious. Normally natal Moon’s nakshatra is avoided for choosing the time for doing anything important.

USA in The Next Few Weeks (January February 2021) - From its Vedic Horoscope

Taking USA as Sagittarius asc. in its #Vedic Horoscope (as discussed by me in the previous post). 

Then right now USA is running through the period of Rahu/Saturn/Saturn/Mercury.

NATAL: Rahu and Mercury are both placed in the 8th H. Saturn is placed in the 10th H (government, President). 

Rahu and Saturn both rule the 3rd H of media, travel and communication. 3rd H is 6th from the 10th H.

TRANSIT WISE: In the next few weeks (especially around Feb 11) there will be 6 planets in the sign Capricorn/2nd H. All these will be also seeing the opposite Cancer/8th H (and Rahu and Mercury sitting there). Mars from Aries is also seeing the 8th H. Some unpredictable and unexpected event may happen suddenly.

If we accept that natal Moon of USA is placed in Shatabhisha nakshatra then,  Kritika nakshatra is a very sensitive nakshatra for USA. Kritika nakshatra is soon going to be affected on Sarvatobhadra Chakra (a special matrix to check nakshatra transit) by Mars (after 22nd Jan). Within few weeks, Saturn will also affect Kritika.

USA should be very careful for any catastrophic event in the next few weeks. Time till April 2021 can be very sensitive for USA.

DISCOVERING THE TRUE ASCENDANT OF USA

Lisa Feinberg is my  friend and She has also been my astrology client. 

Few days back, she urged me to examine the #Vedic Horoscope of USA. 

But the problem with the horoscope of the USA is that, we don’t know what time to take as the official time-of-birth of the USA.

There is some confusion regarding when the process of the signing of the Declaration of Independence was completed. Astrologers simply do not know that what particular moment to treat as the Moment of Birth of the USA. Most astrologers agree on the date of birth of USA, which is 4th July 1776. They also agree on the place of birth which is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.

Shri K.N.Rao has suggested to use 10:21:31 am  as the time-of-birth (TOB) of USA on 4th July 1776. This gives 29 deg Leo rising in the Vedic Horoscope of USA. Shri K.N.Rao says that “I got the help of Yogi Karve who gave me the time through his supernormal power which I have found very helpful many times”.

Note: I have used 10:20 am on astro[.]com because 10:21am was not giving Leo rising, as suggested by K.N.Rao.

Leo sign has some of the traits that we can see in USA – like independent and attracting lots of attention. But Leo is not very action oriented and may be more like a relaxing lion. Leo can be warm hearted, proud and passionate.

I made the Vedic Horoscope of USA using the 10:21:31 am and saw the horoscope with reference to the Leo in the 1stH.

In this horoscope the emphasis is on the Gemini/11th H with 4 planets (Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Sun) placed in the 11th H. Mars is 4th H ruler and placed 0 deg 27 min in Gemini – being at 0 deg, Mars is not very strong (he is in childhood state), and does not justify the vast Geography of USA and its vast natural resources.

Also, with so much of emphasis on Gemini/11th H, USA should be mainly a trading country making gains from foreign alliances. It is a fact that USA indeed is a country that exports business to all over the world and makes huge gains from them, but USA’s real identity in the world is more in terms of military superpower.

Some other astrologers have used 18:20 Hours as the time of birth of USA on the 4th July 1776. This gives Sagittarius as the rising ascendant of the Vedic Horoscope of USA.

If I take Sagittarius as the ascendant rising for USA Vedic Horoscope, then Sagittarius is normally known to possess a very independent, bold and positive attitude. Sagittarius has high aspirations. It is very open minded and knowledge oriented. Sagittarius will not shy away from challenging others especially if the matter of principles is involved.

Leo and Sagittarius have many things in common, but Sagittarius is more free-spirited while Leo is little orthodox. Sagittarius can be very free spirited in the matter of sex, sexuality and relationship. And somehow I subtly feel that the overall American society is more like Sagittarius than Leo.

4thH from Sagittarius is Pisces, the sign of every-where presence, and it is a fact that USA is present everywhere in the world through its military outreach.

If I take Sagittarius as the ascendant rising of the Vedic Horoscope of USA, then the 11th H of friends will be Libra and the 6th H of enemies will be Taurus – both ruled by Venus. Sagittarius is normally confused between friends and enemies and it is often seen that for a Sagittarius, friends can become enemies and enemies can become friends.

With Sagittarius rising Vedic horoscope of USA, the emphasis in on Gemini/7th H with 4 planets (Mars, Venus, Jupiter and Sun) placed in the 7th H. This relates to a wide variety of contradictory relationships with other countries that USA has. 7th H is "10th from  10th H" is also "4th from the 4th H" . So this also reflects the power, geography and the natural-resources that USA enjoys. 

In mundane astrology, 7thH is the house of war – USA became a super-power after the 2nd world-war. And Jupiter the asc. ruler is also in the 7th H, so USA increases his influence and power through participating in innumerable number of small and big wars all the time. 

Jupiter is also the 4th H ruler so all the wars has helped USA expand its presence everywhere on the globe (4thH = Pisces).

Seeing 9-11 (on 11th Sep 2001) , which horoscope shows the event more clearly

If we take the Leo rising horoscope (with “10:21:31 am” time), then the dasha running on 11thSep 2001 was Sun main-period, Venus sub-period and Mercury sub-sub-period. Sun is ascendant ruler placed in the 11th H, Mercury is 11thL and Venus is ruler of the 10th H placed in the 11th H. So although Sun is being seen by Saturn, and Mercury is in the 12thH, but still the house rulership wise these planets do not show a strong indication for such kind of risk on the USA sercurity.

If we take the Sagittarius rising horoscope (with “18:20” time), then the dasha running on 11th Sep 2001 was Moon main-period, Rahu sub-period and Moon sub-sub-period. Moon is 8th H (secret planning, plotting and catastrophe) ruler placed in the 3rd H (transport) in the airy sign Aquarius (it was an air attack). Rahu rules 3rd H/Aquarius  and is placed in the Cancer/8th H . There was a total Solar Eclipse at 7 deg Gemini/7th H on 21st June 2001, and transit Mars was visiting Sagittarius/1st H at 7 deg opposite the solar-eclipse point, and the 9-11 happened.

So I beg to differ from K.N.Rao’s observation that we should take Leo as the rising sign of USA and I think Sagittarius is the rising sign.

In the Sagittarius rising horoscope, at present USA is running through the main-period of Rahu (placed in the 8th H = change and transformation, catastrophe, secret planning and plotting ). It has started the sub-period of Saturn from December 2020. Saturn and Rahu both rule the 3rd H (media). Saturn is placed in the 10th H (power, king, president). This is indeed difficult time for USA. Last time USA ran through Rahu main period between 1895 and 1913.

A Man and His Public Image

We are all born with a birth horoscope. The asc., the Moon and the Sun are the tripod that helps us understand the overall life of the person in this incarnation.

But there is a thing called public-image. Your public-image can be same or different from your real self. 

In Vedic Horoscope, the public-image of a person is analysed from a special Sign/house in his horoscope that is called Arudha Lagna (AL) which can be roughly translated as "the ASC's. MOUNT" i.e. "the vehicle (image) on which we are riding as we are negotiating through this life".

AL is decided using the ASC. and the ASC. Ruling planet.

Astrological Grouping

Important Note 

Very often we as common people tend to identify ourselves through one sign (most often Sun sign because of its popularity in the newspapers ). But my experience as a practicing astrologer tells me....

No one sign placement of any one planet (e.g Sun) can totally be used to classify the human population into 12 groups. 

Sun in Libra  (if I am Leo Asc rising ), can be very different results  for Sun in Libra of some other person if he is, say, Sagittarius Asc rising. 

So we see 12 Sun signs create 144 varieties based on different possible ascendants.  

Now add the permutations of the placements of other planets.

It will be almost infinitely  many  varieties.
