Venus Dasha (main-period) was running in his life. The sub-period or
antara-dasha running was of Jupiter and the sub-sub-period or Pratyantar

I
think, despite all the struggles, addictions and imbalances that he has
gone through in his life, he is intrinsically not a bad man – why? –
because 9th H ruler Jupiter is placed in the 9th H and is seeing the
1stH and 5th H. Jupiter’s influence on ascendant, 5th H and 9th H will
ensure that he can not be intrinsically a bad man. Jupiter and Moon are in mutual Kendra (quadrant) with respect to each other, that is also supportive for him being a good human being.
So I also feel some
of the accusations that his ex-wife made on him were highly exaggerated
or even wrong.
