Astrology in Power: Vijay’s Bold Step

Yesterday, in my analysis of Vijay’s oath-taking horoscope (CLICK HERE to read that analysis), I mentioned that Jupiter’s strong placement in the Lagna suggests “he may rule under the strong philosophical influence of some mentor.”

Today, I read that Vijay has appointed his astrologer, Radhan Pandit Vettrivel, as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Chief Minister’s Office. I truly believe Vijay Thalapathy has taken a courageous step, because while many celebrities and powerful individuals seek guidance from astrology, they rarely acknowledge it openly. Instead, they often pretend not to believe in this vidya and dismiss it as blind faith.

It may surprise many to know that even former U.S. President Ronald Reagan and his wife Nancy Reagan regularly consulted their astrologer, Joan Quigley - sometimes through multiple phone calls a week - for advice on the timing of public appearances, trips, speeches, press conferences, and even major events like summits.

We are aware that many leaders quietly rely on astrologers to decide auspicious times for taking oaths of office or filing election papers, yet only a few ever publicly accept this.

Therefore, I congratulate Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister Vijay for giving due respect to his astrologer and acknowledging his guidance in life. This act not only honors his mentor but also sets an example of transparency and courage in leadership.

Vijay Thalapathy's oath taking horoscope as Tamil Nadu CM

 C. Joseph Vijay started to take the oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at 10:04 AM on Sunday, May 10, 2026 in Chennai. The oath was completed at 10:17 am.

This is the horoscope made at 10:04 am, when Vijay began oath pledges.

Lagna Looks good in this horoscope with Jupiter placed in Lagna at the same degree as Lagna. Jupiter is 7th H lord - this shows how important the support of others (allies and partners) will be for this government.

This government will strongly be guided by his philosophy and vision (Jupiter) with which he has entered into the politics.

Lagna Lord is placed in the 11th H with Sun. 11th L Mars is also seeing the Lagna. This factor is providing strength to the Lagna (his government).

He has very high ambitions for the kind of results that he wants to achieve as CM. Lagna Lord Mercury is in Aries (with exalted 3rd L Sun)... he may begin to act quickly. He will display strong will and courage.

But Mars and Saturn are placed in the 10th house - this is not very desirable - he may have to handle lots of push and pull in running this government. Mars is also the 6th L and Saturn is also the 8th L..

It does not help that Mars Dasha was running at the time of oath. Mars is also placed in the Gandanta in this horoscope. First 2 month will be very challenging for him till he run through Mars Dasha in this oath taking horoscope.

Overall, he is likely to experience lots of pushes and pulls (some hidden also) and at the same time he can be very aggressive in his style.

There can always be risk of instability on his government... and others may play important decisive role in shaping the actual theme of his governance.

He may rule under the strong philosophical influence of some mentor (Jupiter strongly placed in the 1st H).

============

Day was Sunday - Sun is exalted in this horoscope. This is good.

Tithi is Ashtami (Krishna Paksha) - not very easy Tithi. This Tithi is considered spiritually intense, transformative, and linked with Goddess Durga and Rudra, symbolizing both inner conflict and victory over obstacles. He may try to bring radical changes through conflict or reform.

=============

Moon is placed in the 8th House - he needs to work on his own emotions and he has to ensure that he is emotionally grounded as he deals with the challenges of governance.

Importance of Shadbala & Ashtakavarga in Vedic Astrology

 Advanced Technique in Vedic Astrology

Shadbala strength of planets and Ashtakavarga points truly matter.

This is the birth horoscope of a woman who is almost 39 years old, yet she has not been able to conceive a child - even though the 5th lord Jupiter is well placed in the 9th house, and the 9th lord Mars is well placed in the 1st house along with the 1st lord Sun. Jupiter is even seeing the 5th H.

She is even running through Jupiter MD, and even IVF is not yielding results.

WHY?

The answer lies in three factors:

FIRST: 5th L Jupiter is retrograde - so Jupiter can delay in giving the results of the 5th H (child), and may require repeated attempts and unconventional-techniques (e.g., IVF).

SECOND: Jupiter is very weak as per Shadabala strength. See the image below. This is very important reason that she has not been able to get a child till now. A weak planet does not possess the "energy" to give all his promised results.

So, even though Jupiter as 5th L is seeing the 5th H, he holds the promise of giving a child. But he has not yet given a child even though Jupiter's MD is also running.

THIRD: Jupiter is associated with very low Sarvastaka-Varga (SAV) point of only 19. See the image below, there are only 19 points in the 9th H where Jupiter is placed in this horoscope. Also, 5th H also has very low SAV point of only 17.

NOTE: there are 2 or 3 more factors in this horoscope that are also causing her infertility which I have not discussed in the post because my main aim was to show that how Shadbala and SAV scores are very important.

Vedic Horoscope of Vaibhav Suryavanshi – the new Wonder Boy of Indian Cricket

Birth Data

27 March 2011

around 10:50 am (astrological guess)

Tajpur, Bihar, India
------
-----

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is a fast-emerging name in Indian cricket. I was curious to see what his horoscope might look like, so I did some online research to find his birth details. His date of birth (27 March 2011) is available online, but his birth time is not.

Using my astrological knowledge, I tried to determine the most suitable ascendant for a horoscope cast on 27 March 2011.

After some trial and error, I settled on Gemini as his Lagna. The chart with Gemini rising appears very powerful, and it also matches his bright, smiling, and cute-faced personality as a young boy.

If Gemini is indeed his Lagna, his birth time would fall between 10:20 am and 12:33 pm.

For a boy to achieve such early success, his Navamsha chart should also be strong. I therefore examined the possible Navamsha Lagnas within a Gemini-rising main chart. After further trial and error, I narrowed it down to Sagittarius as the Navamsha Lagna. This points to a birth time between 10:49 am and 11:02 am. I have selected Sagittarius Lagna in Navamsha because then his Navamsha chart looks like Jupiter in Sagittarius in his Navamsha Lagna. This makes his Navamsha Lagna also very powerful.

-------------

Why I believe Gemini should be his correct Lagna?

He has a shy, smiling face, and I have often seen videos of him enjoying himself on the practice ground. His youthful, cheerful, and boyish charm gives me strong Gemini vibes.

If I accept Gemini as the Lagna, then in the horoscope cast for 27 March 2011, Ketu is placed in Gemini in the 1st House. Ketu in the 1st House is often seen in the horoscopes of children of destiny. Such individuals either rise to great success or face intense struggles in life. Amitabh Bachchan also has Ketu in the 1st House in his horoscope, though his Lagna is Aquarius.

Moon is placed in the 7th house with Rahu in the Sagittarius sign. Moon + Rahu yoga in 7th H/Sagittarius is giving him the promise of living a very outwardly projected extrovert public life.

This is further getting strengthened because 4 planets (Mars, Sun, Jupiter and Mercury) are placed in the 10th house of visible karma (profession). Lagna Lord Mercury and Moon sign Lord Jupiter are also present among these 4 planets along with Sun, and Mars. He is driven (dedicated) to do his destined karma of visibly making it big in the world (10th house) from his body (Lagna Lord), mind (Moon sign Lord) and soul (Sun). Jupiter is also the 10th house lord placed in the 10th house.

No wonder, he has found big success so early in his life.

Saturn is placed in the 4th House, which represents parents. His parents may have been very strict in imposing discipline (Saturn) on him. This discipline pushed him to practice so rigorously that he was shaped into a “diamond,” forged through the heat of relentless training.

Saturn is retrograde, which suggests extraordinary levels of practice and discipline. As the lord of the 9th House, Saturn is mutually connected with the Sun placed in the 10th House. This highlights the father’s strong role in shaping his early training and career foundation.

He has been running through Sun Maha Dasha since May 2020. Now from 2nd May 2026, he is going to start Moon Maha-Dasha. Moon is 2nd H ruler and is placed in the 7th house/Sagittarius. Moon's lord Jupiter is placed in the 10th House in his own sign Pisces.

I believe his success and earnings will increase tremendously during the Moon Dasha. He may even shift to a new team in IPL, as Moon Dasha will bring new people and circumstances into his life. He may soon start playing for Indian National Team also.

At the same time, he should remain careful about his fitness and safety while playing - both on and off the field - since jealousy from others could create risks.
