Mother Teresa : A short Vedic Astrology Analysis of her life

Birth Data:

26th August 1910//
2:24 pm (LMT) [2 pm as per +1h time zone] //
Skopje, North Macedonia

Basic Planetary Placements

Scorpio rising – Ketu in Scorpio in the 1st H.

Moon and retro-Saturn in Aries in the 6th H.

Rahu in Taurus in the 7th H.

Venus in Cancer in the 9th H.

Sun and Mars in Leo in the 10th H.

Mercury and Jupiter in Virgo in the 11th H.

-------------------------

What I see at a glance

Scorpio Asc. with Ketu in the 1st H – very spiritual. She was naturally interested in healing.

Asc. lord Mars is in the 10th H in conjunction with the 10th L Sun. This is a great combination that is indicating that her basic life energy was directed towards visible work in the society and attaining leadership through that. Since Mars is also the ruler of the 6th H so she choose SERVICE TO THE POOR and ILL as the area of her visible karma. She received lots of government support for her work. Indian Government always treated her with respect.

Placement of Moon (which is also the 9th L) in the 6th H meant that she had the emotional empathy for pain and suffering, and she actually took it as her DHARMA to serve the poor and the ill and the exploited. Debilitated retrograde Saturn is also placed in the 6th H – this is a great yoga for attaining greatness through service especially since 4th L Saturn and 9th L Moon are also forming a Raja Yoga in the 6th H.

7th L Venus is placed in the 9th H – she was a nun (effectively married to God).

Venus placed in the 9th H is also the 12th L – she may have been highly religious and had great faith in her birth religion Christianity, and she may have been motivated to serve the poor and ill as compassion and love for all in the name of God. This also made her head of a big institutional organization Missionaries of Charity - which was based on the principles of charity (12th H), religion, faith (9th H) and service (6th H). This also gave her international name and fame. Born in Europe, she travelled to India to gain name and fame and find her KARMA.

Jupiter and Mercury strongly placed in the 11th H gave her many awards and recognition. She raised huge funds for her charity and service related work. She was able to create a big organization for distributing the service.

Saturn main-period began in her life from January 1969. And from here onwards she began to become an international celebrity. Debilitated Saturn conjunct with Moon in the 6th H may have created havoc in the life of a common engaged in material pursuits, but this same Saturn began to reward her for her work. A documentary “Something Beautiful for God” was made on her life. In 1979, in the main-period of Saturn and sub-period of Sun, she was given the Noble Peace Prize. Now we can see, why the ancient seers (rishis) of India have recommended us to SERVE the poor, the old and the ill as REMEDY for making Saturn favorable for us.

Ketu – Rahu axis is falling on the lines of 1st H and 7th H. She served others from the intrinsic understanding of the self and that allowed us the gain name and fame and that resulted in she gaining lots of wealth of Goodwill also.

Charlie Chaplin - His Vedic Horoscope

Birth Data:

16th April 1889// 8 pm// London

Basic Planetary Placements

Libra rising – Moon in Libra in the 1st H.

Jupiter and Ketu in Sagittarius in the 3rd H

Mercury in Pisces in the 6th H

Sun, Mars and Venus in Aries in the 7th H

Rahu in Gemini in the 9th H

Saturn in Cancer in the 10th H

Moon was in the Swati nakshatra.

-------------------------

What I see at a glance

Libra rising – 10th H ruler Moon in Libra in the 1st H. He had great emotional connection with his physical appearance and a great emotional need to project his unique physical identity to the world. And that became the basis of his career and work.

Moon in the 1st H is also indicating that his mom had a strong influence on him. Saturn the ruler of the 4th H (4th H = mother) is placed in the 10th H which is ruled by Moon, so that further strengthens the effects of his mom in his overall life path and his work.

The 1st H ruler Venus is in Aries (and inside the highly sexual Bharani nakshatra) in the 7th H. He lived a very visible and extrovert life. He was highly creative and was actor, producer and great actor [sexual energy of Bharani is also known to give creativity]. He married 4 times – every time his wife was a teenage girl in between 16 years to 20 years.

Mars is also sitting in the 7th H in his own sign Aries along with the exalted Sun.

Sun, Mars and Venus are together forming few combinations of Dhana-Yoga (combinations of wealth and gains) in the 7th H of public-life, partnership and marriage. He lived a very publicly visible life and earned lots of admiration, name and fame (exalted Sun), had many affairs, 4 marriages and earned lots of wealth. 7th H is also the house of business. So he was not only an actor, he was also a film producer.

Saturn is the most important planet of any Libra rising horoscope. He was not only Libra rising, his Moon was also in Libra. So Saturn becomes even more important for him. Saturn being the ruler of the 5th H (creativity, entertainment, and intelligence) is placed in the 10th H (work, public life and career), so this connected his career to creative and entertainment world. Since as described above, the 7th H is also very powerfully activated by 3 planets in his horoscope, so he had to live a very visible life. Key words are creativity, entertainment, intelligence and a very visible life – so now we can understand that how and why he became a film personality.

Strong Jupiter in his own sign Sagittarius in the 3rd H (along with Ketu) made him a great communicator and gave him great acting skills. Presence of Ketu allowed him to communicate by breaking the barriers of the limitations of the silent cinema.

Mercury in the 6th H gave him the ability to a good comedian – because 6th H is the house where Mercury learns to observe things and environment around him in minutest of the detail, and that is one of the most desired traits of a comedian. Here, Mercury is present in the sign Pisces where Mercury is considered weak, but that was no handicap for Charlie Chaplin, as he worked in silent cinema. 6th H also corresponds to the sign Virgo where Mercury is the most happiest, so his Mercury in Pisces in the 6th H is actually a strong placement.

Mahatma Gandhi - Vedic Horoscope

Birth Data:

2nd October 1869 //
7:20 am (+4:39:16 from GMT) OR 8:10:44 am (as per +5:30 time zone from GMT)//
Porbandar, Gujarat, India

Basic Planetary Placements

Libra rising – Mercury, Venus and Mars in Libra in the 1st H.

Saturn in Scorpio in the 2nd H

Ketu in the Capricorn in the 4th H

Retro-Jupiter is Aries in the 7th H

Rahu, Moon in Cancer in the 10th H

Sun in Virgo in the 12th H

Moon was in the Ashlesha nakshatra. Nakshatra rising in the ascendant is Chitra.

-------------------------

What I see at a glance

Venus as 1st L in the 1st H – an intelligent and a self-centered man.

Mars is also sitting in the 1st H closely conjunct with the 1st L Venus, this gave him great fighting spirit.

Saturn in 2nd H and Sun in 12th H. So 1st H has equal number of planets in symmetrically placed houses on either side of it – this is one of the combinations of going to Jail. Mahatma Gandhi went to jail many times during the freedom struggle of India.

Saturn is in the 2nd H of food. He could abstain from food for many days. He used this as a political weapon (Saturn is 5th L too), and he went on many hunger-strikes to force the British colonial rulers to accepts many of his demands. His family traditions demanded him to not eat meat and not consume alcohol (Saturn = restricts; restrictive family tradition). He ate meat few times when he was in foreign land but he confessed that to his mother, and he promised to her that he will never eat meat again.

5th L Saturn in the 2nd H – he had great love for singing the devotional songs. He would sing devotional songs too.

Ketu is in the 4th H. He was very detached from his domestic house hold life. His wife and his children complained that neither he was a good husband nor he was a good father.

4th H ruler Saturn is looking at the 4th H and is also looking at Ketu sitting in the 4th H. He had good intrinsic understanding of the root-culture of India. This he used to his advantage in promoting the “10th H placed Rahu’s agenda” of giving him great leadership position in the world. This also enabled him to transcend his detachment towards domestic-householder’s life and convert that into great commitment to work for the mother land and also for working for the farmers and other people connected to the ground. This helped him fuel his 10th H-Rahu agenda of giving him leadership over the entire nation. And we can see how Rahu’s ambitions have worked also - Gandhi is someone whose own children were not happy with him, but he is the Father of the Nation of India.

Rahu+Moon in the 10th H – he was emotionally most happy when he was spending time in public and showing his leadership qualities. Sign of the 10th H is Cancer. Being a man, he could radiate amplified (Rahu) motherly energy from his personality. He could understand the pulse of the masses and could strike a chord with even the poorest of the poor == > this gave him the biggest appeal over the common public across India – he was the biggest and the tallest mass leader in the British India (that consisted of the present day India, Pakistan and Bangladesh). He is one of the few leaders in the world who is called Mahatma (A Saint). Rahu is also foreigners, so we see Rahu also used his fight against foreigners to give him the leadership.

3rd H is the house of communication, travelling and drive. 3rd L Jupiter is sitting in the 7th H (public life) and seeing the 3rd H, 11th H (wide spread distribution) and 1st H (where 1st L Venus is also sitting). Jupiter-Venus opposition is important here.

Venus is also the 8th L of revolution. He is one of the biggest political communicator of all time. In the era when most people did not even possess a radio set he could awaken the entire British India population with his political messages. He could start or stop any number of widespread-mass-campaigns/movements for FREEDOM from the British with just one call (in the era of no TV or social media). He could bring a big revolution (Venus is 8th L also) into the freedom movement of India through his communication skills that appealed to the masses (even the most illiterate would be stirred into action by one call from him).

Jupiter seeing the 1st H and all the planets sitting in the 1st H gave him a philosophical and spiritual outlook too – he was not an ordinary mass leader, people treated him as a saint. Gandhism is a school of political philosophy in itself.   He is the first man in history to show the power of Non Violence as a weapon in political campaigning. Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King Jr were highly inspired from him. He was also an expert of using “long-distance-foot-marching” as a political weapon. Mars in the 1st H (conjunct with 1st L Venus) gave him the athletic energy to walk fast and to walk long distances to bring about a revolution (Venus is 8th L).

Jupiter sitting in the 7th H is retrograde. Jupiter is also the 6th H ruler. Despite being a married man, he took an unilateral vow of celibacy without consulting his wife. He then forced his vow of celibacy on her. We should also see close conjunction between Mars+Venus in his 1st H (Libra). He kept on testing his resolve for celibacy through taboo experiments.

11th H ruler Sun is in the 12th H – he would often participate in spiritual gathering for mass-prayers.

Importance of Moon

Random Thoughts

astrology has understood the connection between Moon and Mind.....

My Hypothesis

If there was no Moon orbiting around Earth, there would have been no life on earth (life without mind is not possible)

If we ever find life on a planet that has more than one moons orbiting around it... that will be much different from the forms of life that we see on earth.. they may have more than one minds !!

RandomThoughts in this Valentine week...

Note: Please keep reading till the end, as I will also post a poetry, that I had written few years ago.

Let us fall in love with ourselves first. And let us remember the cosmic message that Venus exalts in Pisces... which implies that love attains its perfection, when we can love all without discrimination. When that happens, there is no urge to possess the ones who we love. Piscean love is liberating, transcends the material and helps us realise our divine inner-self.

My #Poetry on #Love

Love is Eternal Beyond Lovers
(a poetry)

Love is Eternal
True, it is !

Love evolves..
rises fast to a height
stays there...
yearns to go higher

But...
"How much high can it go?"

People in love have :
     limited energies,
     constraints,
     pulls and pushes of life,...

so lovers may not forever sustain the rise..
and Love may stops rising

then the yearning

"Why it is not as it was earlier?"
Why ?...
What went wrong ?

Nothing. ..
humans are not Gods

How to sustain the fire ?
the fire that is called Love,
the fire that makes even the dead ALIVE,

The fire must keep burning..
even beyond the people who are in love

for, the world is ...because Love is

Thus we fall in love
and help rise the flame of love
and when the energy in us gets exhausted,
love does not die
it keeps smouldering within us
remains alive in our memories
where we can re-run the video again and again
...forever

New people keep falling in love...
and this way ...
the fire keeps burning

Love is Eternal
True, it is !

VEDIC HOROSCOPE OF OSHO – A BRIEF OVERVIEW

Birth Data:
11th December 1931/ 17:44 Hrs/ Kuchwada, MP, India
(for generating round dial sidereal-horoscope from astro[.]com, I was forced to use 17:37 as time of birth because 17:44 is giving Gemini ascendant, whereas all Vedic Apps give Taurus ascendant with 17:44)
------------

Vedic Horoscope Description
Taurus (2) rising,
Jupiter in Cancer(4) in the 3rd H,
Ketu in Virgo(6) in the 5th H,
Sun in Scorpio(8) in the 7th H,
Mars, Mercury, Venus, Moon and Saturn in Sagittarius (9) in the 8th H
Rahu in Pisces(12) in the 11th H.

What I see at a glance
5 planets are placed in the 8th H. We all know that 8th H is the house of mysteries, secrets, unraveling-secrets, exploring the unknown, deep-research, occult, magic, sex, change, transformation, sudden events, catastrophes …etc.
8th H energy is obviously not an easy energy to handle, and Osho had 5 planets in the 8th H – these included Venus the 1st H ruler and Moon.
In his horoscope, Moon is not only representing his mind (that Moon does in every horoscope), Moon is also the ruler of the 3rd H of drive, curiosity and communication. Venus being the 1st H ruler is representing him as the physical being – so what we see, Osho as the physical being, his mind and his drive … they are all getting directed towards the 8th H.
Such a man will definitely explore the unseen, the unknown, the unknowable … etc. He will have deep interest in sex. Trying to attain the state of meditation through sex [12th H ruler Mars is also in the 8th H]. Trying to activate the Kundalini shakti through sex.
Jupiter is the ruler of the 8th H/Sagittarius, and Jupiter is placed in 3rd H/Cancer. Cancer is the sign where Jupiter exalts. So 5 planets in the 8th H, and their land-lord (despositor) Jupiter present in exaltation (so very strong). This further enhances the energy of the 8th H in Osho’s life.
Also, Jupiter’s placement in 3rd H/Cancer and Moon’s placement is 8th H/Sagittarius is exchange between Jupiter and Moon involving 3rd H and 8th H. So Osho was good at communicating about whatever he explored regarding the 8th H. He was a great speaker and he has written many books. When in front of Osho, no-body could argue with him.
And please note that the sign of the 8th H is Sagittarius (knowledge and philosophy), so he explored the dark and mysterious energies of the 8th H things (as listed in the beginning) from the attitude of knowledge and philosophy. He was also a professor of Philosophy.
Jupiter is placed in the 3rd H – he was driven by the pursuit of knowledge.
Jupiter is also the 11th H/Pisces ruler, and Rahu is placed in the 11th H. So whatever he did, his work, his teachings …etc were received well all over the world [in-short, he marketed himself well internationally (Rahu)].
He got huge amounts of donations (8th H = other’s wealth also) from his followers, and had many Rolls Royce.

-----------------------
Rahu in the 11th H ==> he was the eldest child of his parents.
Exalted Jupiter in the 3rd H. Mars also seeing the 3rd H == > excessive expansion == > he had 10 younger siblings.
4th H ruler Sun in the 7th H/Scorpio == > he was close to his maternal-grandmom
-----------------------
5 planets in 8th H == > his life was full of problems and twists and turns ==> he died at the age of only 58 years (there are various conspiracy theories behind his death).
4 or more planets in one house is also Sanyasi Yoga (combination of becoming a renunciate).

VEDIC HOROSCOPE OF Nepolian Bonaparte

 Birth Data:

15th August, 1769/ 11:30 am (time zone +00:34 Hrs)/
Place - Ajaccio, on the French island of Corsica
(I have used time 11:56 am (+1 Hrs time zone), as my Vedic Astrology app does not have the option of +00:34 Hrs time zone).

What I see at a glance
Libra (7) rising... Jupiter placed in the 1st House in Libra. Jupiter is 6th H (war) ruler and 3rd H (initiatives, training, courage) ruler. Jupiter is also seeing (vedic aspect) the 1st H ruler Venus with his trinal-aspect. ==> his life-path intimately connected to WAR, and his WAR conquests will define his public persona.
--------------

Moon in Capricorn in the 4th H and Saturn in Cancer in 10th H. Moon and Saturn therefore are forming an exchange involving 4th H (king's throne) and 10th H (leadership). Saturn is also the ruler of the 5th H, so Moon-Saturn exchange is also bringing together the energy of the 10th H (leadership) and 5th H (intelligence).
-----------
7th H ruler Mars in conjoined with 11th H ruler Sun in the sign Leo(5) in the 11th H ===> his marriage to Josephine (the widow of General Beauharnais) gave him entry into the network of aristocracy.

WHY did he marry a widow? - Rahu present in the 3rd H/Sagittarius (9). Rahu is in trine with both the 7th H as well as the 7th H ruler Mars who is sitting in the 11th H. Unconventional Marriage
Sun in the Leo (5) in the 11th H ==> he was a natural leader, when present in a crowd.
